Stocking up on food this morning, I went into the rather small Spar shop which had a very good range of supplies. I had a couple of fresh baguettes made up for me here and loaded the usual one day's supplies and chocolate biscuits.
I set off towards Oban and was given a hoot by Duncan as he passed me further up the road in his van. I caught up with Dave at Kilmartin and sustained another puncture, the 3rd in three days.
Near Oban, Dave branched off down a side road to see the 'Atlantic Bridge'. I didn't fancy the extra 5 miles each way so I carried on to Oban where I joined the end of a queue of traffic. I walked the bike in to town and located the SYHA hostel. Booked in here at £12 a night in a 10 bed dorm.
I bought two new inner tubes from a bike shop in Oban which I was hoping would stop the problem with punctures. Entering Oban I had seen signs for a ceilidh this evening, and Dave had seen them too when he arrived, so we went to the church hall and had a good night dancing. The music was extremely good.
